# Best Crypto Exchange for 100x Leverage in 2026, Ordered by What the Round Trip Costs

The Leverage Ladder desk · Updated: 24 September 2026 · Tested: 22 September 2026

## The one line

Only four order-book venues document 100x or more on BTC, so the best crypto exchange for 100x leverage
is settled by cost rather than by the cap. Ordered by the entry-tier taker fee, Aster leads at
0.040% and ApeX Omni is dearest. A hundred times margin leaves about one per cent of
room before liquidation.

Weights: Depth under the position 35 · Cost on the levered notional 25 · Where the fill is recorded 20 · What the record shows 15 · How far the ladder reaches 5. One formula for every plate on this site, fixed on 18 September 2026: https://aurascopeapp.com/method

## What a round trip costs at the best crypto exchange for 100x leverage, venue by venue

Ordered by the entry-tier taker fee on the BTC perpetual: once four venues clear the same cap, the
round trip separates them. All four also print the size that cap holds to, which is what earns a row
here; Lighter, Paradex, dYdX and Aevo print a multiple and no size, and are ranked on no plate on
this site. The score column beside the order did not produce it: the highest total of the four is
edgeX at 4.50 out of six, a row below the cheapest round trip, because
the formula weighs depth, settlement and the record as well as the fee this page sorts on.

| # | Venue | Leverage cap | Score of 6 | Maker / taker | Perpetual markets | Model | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Aster | 200x to 400 USDT | 4.42 | 0% / 0.040% | 578 | Own layer 1, operator-run | the cheapest round trip here |
| 2= | edgeX | 100x to $1 million | 4.50 | 0.040% / 0.045% | 172 | Hybrid | the deepest book at this cap |
| 2= | EVEDEX | 200x to $50,000 | 3.82 | 0.015% / 0.045% | 52 | Hybrid | a top rung with a size attached to it |
| 4 | ApeX Omni | 100x to $100,000 | 3.90 | 0.020% / 0.050% | 125 | Hybrid | a documented forced exit |

Venue terms read 18 September 2026; entry-tier fees on the BTC perpetual. The leverage column pairs the headline cap with the notional it holds to.

## 01 · [Aster](https://www.asterdex.com) — 4.42 of 6
Aster charges nothing to the maker on any tier and 0.040% to the taker, which is
$8.00 on a $10,000 round trip, the cheapest of the four
([Aster fee schedule](https://docs.asterdex.com/trading/perpetuals/fees-and-specs/fees), checked 18 September 2026). Its Pro order book prints 200x for the
first 400 USDT of notional and 100x to $800,000, so the rung that matters at real size is not the
headline. Behind it sat a median $14.4 million and the tightest spread here,
0.01 bps.

- For: The cheapest round trip of the four, $8.00 on $10,000 in and out, with no maker fee on any tier; 100x holds to $800,000 of notional, and 578 perpetual markets sit behind it.
- Against: The 200x bracket covers 400 USDT of notional, so the headline number is not the rung anyone trades; Aster Chain core contracts are not open-sourced, no external validators run in the first phase, and no published audit covers the chain or the matching engine.
- Not for: anyone who needs the chain their trades settle on to be open and audited.

## 02 · [edgeX](https://pro.edgex.exchange) — 4.50 of 6
edgeX tiers BTC by position value instead of printing one number, and 100x covers the whole first
million ([edgeX metadata](https://edgex-prod-v2.edgex.exchange/api/v2/public/meta/getMetaData), checked 18 September 2026) — the longest reach at this cap of
the four. Behind it is the deepest book on the plate, a median $29.2 million, where a
$100,000 order moved the price 0.02 bps. Its taker fee matches the venue one
place above, so the round trip is the same $9.00; the maker side is dearest here,
at 0.040%.

- For: 100x holds to $1 million of position value, the longest reach at this cap measured here; The deepest book on this plate, a median $29.2 million within 10 basis points.
- Against: 0.040% maker fee, the dearest maker side of the four; Liability to a user is capped at the greater of $100 or three months of fees paid.
- Not for: makers, who pay nothing one place above.

## 03 · EVEDEX — 3.82 of 6
EVEDEX posts 0.015% maker and 0.045% taker, so a $10,000 taker round trip costs
$9.00, nine basis points of the position (EVEDEX documentation, Trading Fees,
checked 18 September 2026). A hundred times margin here belongs to XRP, gold, silver and crude
oil, while BTC, ETH and SOL sit a rung above at 200x to $50,000 of notional (EVEDEX trading
terms, checked 18 September 2026). The book behind it held a median $18.9 million within
10 basis points, second deepest of the four.

- For: The top rung is printed with the notional it holds to rather than as a bare multiple; A $10,000 order and a $100,000 one both moved the price 2.06 bps, so ten times the size cost no more.
- Against: 52 perpetual contracts against 578 on the widest venue here; No bug bounty programme is listed on CertiK Skynet, read 18 September 2026; Cross margin only, margin posted in USDT, so a loss on one position draws on the collateral behind the rest; Below the top rung no multiple is published with a notional ceiling of its own.
- Not for: a trader who sizes from a printed notional tier, because below the top rung none exists.

## 04 · [ApeX Omni](https://omni.apex.exchange/) — 3.90 of 6
ApeX Omni allows 100x on BTC inside $100,000 of position value at a one per cent initial margin,
rising by a point for every further $100,000 to a ceiling of $15 million
([ApeX Omni docs](https://apex-pro.gitbook.io/apex-pro/apex-omni/perpetual-contracts-open-interest-and-leverage), checked 18 September 2026). It is the dearest round trip here at
$10.00 on $10,000, and the thinnest book: a median $1.8 million
against $29.2 million at the top. Collateral sits in zkLink contracts and a withdrawal can
be forced to layer 1, though an ordinary one takes up to four hours.

- For: A withdrawal can be forced to layer 1 through the zkLink contracts, so an outage strands nothing; The cap steps down by a stated amount per $100,000 of position value rather than off a cliff.
- Against: 0.050% taker fee, the dearest round trip of the four, paid twice on the levered notional; Median BTC depth of $1.8 million, about a sixteenth of the deepest book here; The published audits cover the zkLink infrastructure from 2023 rather than the engine ApeX Omni runs.
- Not for: a taker who trades often.

## Measured at the book

BTC perpetual books read on a ten-minute cycle that ran the length of 22 September 2026; medians of all reads.
| Venue | $10,000 round trip | Median spread | Median depth, 10 bps | Impact, $100,000 | Reads |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aster | $8.00 | 0.01 bps | $14.4 million | 0.56 bps | 121 |
| edgeX | $9.00 | 0.04 bps | $29.2 million | 0.02 bps | 121 |
| EVEDEX | $9.00 | 4.12 bps | $18.9 million | 2.06 bps | 121 |
| ApeX Omni | $10.00 | 0.65 bps | $1.8 million | 0.37 bps | 121 |

## One per cent of margin, and what a round trip takes out of it

At a hundred times margin the money behind a position is one per cent of it. A $10,000 position is
opened with $100, and the fee is charged on the position, never on the margin.

A round trip of nine basis points is 0.09% of the position, which is nine per cent of that $100,
gone before the price has moved. The four venues here sit two basis points apart,
$8.00 against $10.00 on $10,000 in and out, and that gap is
paid again on every trade.

Funding is the second bill, charged by the hour on the notional, and this plate does not rank it.
EVEDEX computes a funding rate every eight hours and settles an eighth of it each
hour (EVEDEX trading terms; 18 September 2026); ApeX Omni settles hourly with a cap of five basis points an
hour ([ApeX Omni funding documentation](https://apex-pro.gitbook.io/apex-pro/apex-omni/trading-and-funding-fees),
checked 18 September 2026).

## Where each of the four caps stops

A cap with no size attached is half a sentence, and the two venues here printing 200x write very
different second halves.

Aster prints it on BTC for the first 400 USDT of notional, then 150x to $300,000 and 100x to
$800,000 ([Aster trading rules](https://www.asterdex.com/bapi/futures/v1/public/future/simple/symbols), checked 18 September 2026). EVEDEX prints the same
figure on BTC, ETH and SOL and holds it to $50,000 of notional, and writes its hundred-times rung
against contracts instead of sizes — XRP, gold, silver and crude oil (EVEDEX trading terms,
checked 18 September 2026). Neither of the other two prints 200x, and edgeX carries a hundred
times margin further than either venue that does.

Read as the size at which a hundred times margin runs out, the order changes again: $100,000 at
ApeX Omni, $800,000 at Aster and $1 million at edgeX, while the fourth venue attaches no notional
ceiling to that rung at all and names four markets instead. A trader working inside $50,000 can
use all four; a trader closing $900,000 has one.

## Where the ladder stops short of this cap

Six venues with a readable BTC book never reach a hundred times margin on it. Extended stops at
50x, held to $4 million, and Hyperliquid at 40x, held to $150 million; both are ranked elsewhere
here. Lighter, dYdX, Paradex and Aevo are ranked nowhere, and not for the height of the cap: each
prints a multiple and no notional band, so there is no size to set beside the $100,000, $800,000
and $1 million above.

Cost is not what separates them. Extended's 0.025% taker fee makes a $10,000
round trip $5.00, cheaper than anything on this plate. What none of the six
will do is let a $10,000 position be opened with $100.

## What was read, and what was measured

Five criteria fixed on 18 September 2026, before a venue was read against them, applied to the
4 venues documenting a hundred times margin or more on BTC
([the formula](/method)). Ladders, fees, market counts and terms come from each venue's own
documentation, read on 18 September 2026. The round trip is arithmetic on those published fees:
twice the entry-tier taker fee on a $10,000 position. Spread, depth and impact are ours, from BTC book
reads every ten minutes.

Books were read on BTC, the deepest market these four share, so a thinner pair costs more to leave. The
round trip ignores volume discounts, cashback, token rebates and the funding charged for every hour a
position stays open. A published ladder is a snapshot of an ordinary day, cut when volatility rises and
put back unannounced. This site takes payment for placement; the order here is the taker fee the page
is named after.

## FAQ

### How much money do you need for 100x leverage?

One per cent of the position, plus the fee on both legs. A $10,000 position at 100x is opened with
$100 of margin, and the round trip on the four venues here costs between $8.00 and $10.00, so
between eight and ten per cent of that margin goes on fees.

### Which exchanges offer 100x leverage on Bitcoin?

Four of the sixteen venues we track document 100x or more on the BTC perpetual: Aster, EVEDEX,
edgeX and ApeX Omni. Each attaches a size to it. The largest position that still qualifies runs
from $100,000 at ApeX Omni to $1 million at edgeX, read from their own margin schedules on
18 September 2026.

### What is a round trip in trading?

Opening a position and closing it again, two fills and two fees. This plate prices it as a $10,000
taker order in and the same order out at the entry tier, which is twice the taker fee: $8.00 at
the cheapest venue here and $10.00 at the dearest, on 18 September 2026 schedules.

### What is a basis point in trading fees?

One hundredth of one per cent. A taker fee of 0.045% is four and a half basis points, and paying it
twice makes a nine basis point round trip. The unit matters at a high cap because the fee lands on
the position while the margin behind it is a hundredth of that.

### Do maker fees matter for leverage trading?

Only if the orders rest. Aster charges nothing to the maker on any tier, EVEDEX 0.015%, ApeX Omni
0.020% and edgeX 0.040%, so a limit-order strategy pays a different
bill than a market-order one. A trader who takes liquidity on both legs never touches the maker
column at all.

### Is 100x leverage available on Ethereum as well as Bitcoin?

The documentation we read answers it for two of them. ApeX Omni documents 100x on BTC and ETH and
50x on most other crypto perpetuals; EVEDEX prints its top rung on BTC, ETH and SOL together, to
$50,000 of notional. Aster and edgeX publish a ladder per market, and only their BTC rungs were
read here.

### Does the exchange charge a fee when a position is liquidated?

Several do, on top of the round trip. edgeX publishes a liquidation fee of 1% of the position in
its own contract data, and ApeX Omni pays the daily liquidation fees it collects into a vault. At a
hundred times margin, a one per cent charge is the entire margin.

### How do you calculate the cost of a trade with leverage?

Take the position, not the deposit. A $10,000 position at 100x needs $100 of margin, and at a
0.045% taker fee each leg costs $4.50, so the round trip is $9.00. That is nine per cent of the
margin, and the same trade at ten times margin would cost nine tenths of one per cent.

### Does a fee discount or cashback change the round trip?

It changes what is returned, not what is posted. EVEDEX runs cashback on fees already paid, up to
35% of a trader's own trading fees, and Aster takes 5% off perpetual trading fees paid in its own
token. Both are rebates, and this plate ranks the posted entry tier instead.

### What does 100x leverage cost over a month of trading?

Multiply the round trip by the number of trades, then add the funding. Twenty round trips a month
on a $10,000 position cost $160 at the cheapest venue here and $200 at the dearest, against $100 of
margin at that cap, before a single hour of funding is counted.
